The ARTLESS GAX 16 bench is the latest addition to the GAX family. A bench was the most obvious evolution of this design. It features two 16' by 16' polished stainless - steel bases placed under a 2' solid walnut top. Beauty truly prevails with this piece.
The ARTLESS GAX series represents our most architectural and structural designs. It offers a simple solution to a common problem: a table without an apron. By using only two elements - the base and the top, it creates a clean look that's built to last. The 2” solid wood top and 2” tubular base, with no cross - members or other structural elements, make it a sturdy and long - lasting choice. The GAX tables and benches are like strong workhorses dressed as elegant stallions. They're sturdy, strong, and almost indestructible, yet undeniably beautiful and elegant. Each GAX piece is unique, with an 'indestructible' wood top that contrasts nicely with the reflective polished stainless - steel base. The solid wood board top has an oil - rubbed hand finish, which gives it a matte, deep shine and allows you to use it without coasters.
The GAX top is made of solid lumber, similar to a butcher - block but much more attractive. The base is crafted from marine - grade stainless steel, painstakingly hand - polished to a mirror finish. It's a complex and labor - intensive process, but the result is well worth it. Our GAX base is not your typical reflective metal base. We use stainless steel instead of the common chromed steel because chrome is a cheap and environmentally harmful option.
