Using the Skagerak Portable Bollard Style Oil Lamp is easy. First, make sure you have a disposable oil capsule in place. One oil replacement is already included with the lamp. If you need more, there are extra oil capsules available. These capsules use biological lamp - oil and can burn for 35 - 40 hours. To access the oil capsule, just click the brace down and remove the metal lid. This lid also protects the flame from wind and water, so keep it on when you're using the lamp outdoors. The Fresnel glass on the lamp is great for spreading light, but it can get dirty. When it does, simply take it out and clean it. The lamp is made of teak, steel, and Fresnel glass. Keep it away from sharp objects to avoid scratching. If you're not satisfied with the lamp, you can return it within 30 days as it's covered by our return policy.
