Using your Stelton Foster Salt Mill is a breeze. First, unscrew the top part and fill it with your favorite salt. You can adjust the grinding size by turning the top. To get a finer grind, turn it clockwise; for a coarser grind, turn it counter - clockwise. When you're done using it, just wipe it clean with a dry cloth. Avoid submerging the mill in water, as it could damage the internal ceramic mechanism. If the grinder seems to be working less effectively over time, you can gently tap it on a hard surface to dislodge any stuck salt.
